Background Info:
History: At some point in the Miketsukami family, someone mixed his or her blood with the one of a demon. Families whose blood was mixed with a demon in the past, are prosperous. For those descendants that hold the demon blood, they are treated with respect and reverence. In the case of the Miketsukami family it’s different. Being that the demon that was mixed with the family is an evil 9-tailed fox, the family controls the one that holds such blood and they drive away that power through house arrest. For Soushi, the only thing he knew as his everything was that small room where he was kept from society. They all acted as if it was normal for a young boy to live like that, aside from school there was nowhere Soushi could go out. He grew clever and confident thanks to school and he escaped such a fate using women to his advantage; he knew how to play them, starting with a maid, he reached a successful woman, by becoming her pet he was free form that house. He learned how to be the perfect gentlemen with her. All of his education and manners came from that woman. As he wanted more freedom, he found Ayame-san, someone that he manipulated into pitying him and saving him from that arrest.
Ayame hired him for being with her son, Kagerou who was pushed around by him but he didn’t mind, he needed money to be free and to stop deceiving everyone and be himself. When a random letter arrived to Kagerou he was asked to reply. It was from a young girl, Kagerou’s fiancée Ririchiyo. He started to write to her as if he was Kagerou. Her letters were so kind that made him realize that he held feelings for that little girl. When he reached 22 years he asked to be in the same building Kagerou and Ririchiyo were living in and he became her special secret agent just to be close to her. Now he is working for her, he serves her as her faithful dog and protects her from any danger.
Personality: Soushi has the charms and the intelligence of a fox. He was educated as proper gentlemen and his manners are exceptional, he has a vast knowledge on tea leaves and their effects, in short he is the perfect butler. But there’s more to Soushi than serving: he knows the only way to be himself is by being the pet of others. While he knows how to look for others perfectly, he lacks of proper care for himself. He learned to let people insult him and undermine him; he hides all his sadness, secrets and thoughts under a mask of smiles. Over the years he learned to react according to the actions of others, as he didn’t have an ambition for freedom or desires. He developed a personality that feels and expresses nothing.
He had to flawlessly carry himself; it was something that by flattery and deceit he could do by himself. Even if Soushi decided to be the pet of others and let them do as they please with him, he has learned to protect himself when he thinks it’s appropriate. He can use his charms in order get women to open up to him. By doing so he can manipulate them into obtaining information, getting what he wants, twisting their words, getting pity, achieving his own whims and trick them into believing him. He can’t trust others so easily so he tries to get the upper hand against anyone, he can’t get too close to anyone, he doesn’t know how to approach others and he prefers to stay clear of most. Soushi has a mysterious personality wrapped in deceit; he hides his own self from the world and he prefers to keep quiet about it.
His mask of smiles also portrays him friendly and he is usually surrounded by people. He does have close friends but he never lets them get too close, just the appropriate distance. After he started to work for Kagerou, he was ordered to write replies for his fiancée, Shirakiin Ririchiyo. She was an honest sweet girl that caught the interest of Soushi.
When he started to work for Kagerou, he called him boring. Even if this comment didn’t cause him any pain until he realized that he was interesting for her being the fictional character he created for his master’s fiancée, just then he discovered his master’s words were true; he was boring and lacked motivation, he had never felt sympathy.
After he learned how young she was and how many hardships she had to go through, he started to have feelings for her. He wants to be close to her and protect her from any harm while trying to understand her more.

Justification:
The main words for describing the hanged man are: Sacrifice, letting go, surrendering, passivity, acceptance, renunciation, patience, new point of view, contemplation, inner harmony, conformism, non-action, waiting and giving up. In the upright position, the Hanged Man represents devotion, flexibility of the mind, sacrifice, rebirth, and transformation. On the negative side, it represents the inability to take action, loss, selfishness, apathy, and oppression.
All of this words apply to Soushi, as he is devoted to his master, he is intelligent and cunning, and he has a demon transformation, the negative sides are there as well, he lacks of motivation and his duty as a bodyguard makes him not care for his life even in the line of danger. The card in a way explains a great sacrifice and gaining something in return (according to my book), Soushi expects his sacrifice will give him personal freedom at some point. He doesn’t mind sacrificing to achieve the goal of his loved one either. He gained a new point of view when he met Ririchiyo, and he is content with his life with her.

She is the reason for my existence, every second with her is a dream come true and every second apart is the most horrible torture, I hope you get your chance to know her, she is a very sensible person. Nice meeting you.

It was a cold night in Ayakashi’s mansion, the young man was reading something over his computer when suddenly he turned to his phone, remembering how about some weeks ago, he received a text about this hour. He took his phone and with a quick gesture of his hand he opened it, to check it. Like the time when he received it, he smiled softly and looked for it.
He didn’t have many messages, and he kept a special place for that message when he opened it again. He couldn’t help to soften his face. He tilted his head to one side as he read again the sweet words of his master. The message was short, and for some meaningless, but to him it meant everything. The delicate words she used, her polite way of writing, she carefully chose those words especially for him. And he treasured them in exchange.
He closed his phone and lifted his glasses over his from bangs to lift his hair from his face, while he left the phone on the desk and turned off his computer. Then he went over to his bed and stumbled over it as he removed his glasses and left them on the desk. He looked over the suit he was going to wear tomorrow.
“I should sleep. Tomorrow I’ll get to spend more time with her.” He covered himself with the blankets and before turning off the lights he turned to the window and said with a smile:
“Good night, Ririchiyo-sama, hope you have sweet dreams…”
